Hacienda Tamarindo after Hurricane Maria

Hurricane Maria Update (May 16, 2019):

Well, this has been quite a ride!

After nearly two years of work we have made substantial progress.  We have converted our pool pump to solar power, we are using more propane appliances, we have installed a brand new generator which powers the entire property (when we need it), and we have completed many of the repairs and repainting of the buildings.  The windows and doors that we ordered in April 2018 are finally complete and were scheduled to be delivered and installed beginning on May 13, 2018.  However, the ferry system has failed us, again.  The projected first opportunity for the passage is “sometime” in July.  We now have four rooms out of service, as we have removed existing windows in preparation for the new ones, with the remaining 13 rooms  open to guests. We hope you will come back and support us, even as we have work to be completed.

    • Our renowned beaches are open, and the BioBay is better than ever
    • The weather and sunsets are the same!
    •         Vieques restaurants are open, with many delicious options

And…… we still provide our customary friendly, courteous, helpful service from the same great staff.

We will update this notice as we have more information.

We’re back and we’d love to welcome you back.  Please come see us!

Warm (84 & sunny) regards,

Burr & Linda
